Client Lookup Maps, Winnipeg Health Region
This portal provides links to two mapping tools that can be used to identify the geographic location of clients or individuals in the Winnipeg Health Region (the Winnipeg Health Region is the City of Winnipeg plus East and West St. Paul). The Community Area, Neighborhood Cluster and Neighborhood a client resides in can be quickly identified, using either 6 digit postal code or the client address.
The primary mapping tool for this work uses Mango Maps and is referred to as the “Client Referral Mapping Application”. This tool works reliably 99% of the time, but occasionally runs slow or is down. When this occurs, an "Alternative Client Referral Mapping Application" that we have built using Google Maps can be used instead and can be accessed below.
Use FIREFOX or Chrome if possible, since Mango Maps doesn't always work reliably with Internet Explorer.

Client Referral Mapping Application (Mango Maps version)
How To find a Client:
- Type the client street address or postal code into the search bar at the top right of map, press Enter on your keyboard, and then click on the suggested address location from the popup that will appear (below where you entered the postal code). Be sure to enter the postal code with a space between the first 3 characters and the last 3 characters of the postal code (e.g. R25 3P6). The client location will appear as a blue icon on the map. Click on the blue icon and the name of the Community Area the client location falls into will appear in a pop-up box at the bottom left of the map (and the Community Area will be highlighted in transparent yellow). To clear the selection, click on the arrow on the pop-up information box and you can visualize the client location in relationship to underlying streets and features. (Note: When doing multiple searches after opening the Client Referral map, the pop-up information box will often appear without you having to click on the blue location icon each time).
- To identify the neighborhood the client lives in, turn on the neighborhood layer in the map legend (right hand side of screen), and then click on the client location (blue location icon). The name of the neighborhood the client is located in will appear in the pop-up information box (bottom left of screen).
- To identify the neighborhood cluster a client is in, turn off the neighborhood layer, turn on the neighborhood cluster layer, and then click on the client location again (blue icon) to launch the pop-up information box (bottom left of screen)
- Sometimes it is helpful to zoom out a bit in order to see the neighborhood and neighborhood cluster boundaries
- If the blue location icon disappears, you can regenerate this on the map simply by doing the address search again.
