PEG Winnipeg United Way Winnipeg; International Institute of Sustainable Development |
Peg measures the health of Winnipeg over year – in ways that count. PEG tally studies on everything from the health of babies born in Winnipeg right through to how many of them graduate 18 years later. We track how much garbage we take to the landfill and how often we give up our cars to take public transit. We calculate how often citizens volunteer and if we’re doing more or less of it. It’s here at Peg that Winnipeggers can learn how their life, their neighbourhood and their city is changing – for the good and the bad. Peg is a starting place for Winnipeg citizens, business owners and policy makers to learn the facts so you can lead change to create a better city for your children and their children. |

Information Management and Analytics Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living |
Annual Statistical Reports: Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living’s Annual Statistics report is designed for a broad audience that includes health professionals, researchers, policymakers and the general public. Comprised of 13 sections, the report looks at the distribution of the population, mortality, disease and injury, prevalence of mental illness, physician and hospital services, use of home care and personal care homes, preventative services and prescription drug use. The focus of the report is population‐based rather than service‐based; that is, indicators reflect where people live, not where they received services. Wherever possible, graphs are presented by regional health authority (RHA) to allow greater specificity of the population to assist planners in understanding the health needs of their particular region. Annual Population Reports: The population data shown in these reports are based on records of residents registered with Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living. Data for the regions include population of cities, towns, villages, rural municipalities, local government districts, and unorganized territories. |
